# How do I start HRT with PrivateDoc?

Starting your menopause treatment with PrivateDoc is a secure and fully clinically supported process. Because your safety is our highest priority, we require all new patients who are new to HRT to complete a mandatory video consultation. First, you will fill out a detailed online medical questionnaire regarding your symptoms and health history. You will then book a live video appointment with one of our UK registered clinicians. This allows the doctor to thoroughly assess your needs, answer any questions, and ensure HRT is the safest and most effective option for you before issuing a prescription.

If you have previously been prescribed HRT elsewhere and are simply looking to continue your exact same treatment with us, you do not need a video appointment. You can simply complete a consultation online, request your specific medication, and provide proof of your previous prescription for our clinical team to review.
