# Is ED medication effective?

Oral ED medications help many people: published evidence often cites response in a large majority of men in selected trials, but real world results vary. Tablets do not work for everyone and are not suitable if certain health problems or medicines are present. They can also cause side effects. If you have side effects, think your medication is not working, or think it is too strong, contact the clinical team so your treatment and dose can be reviewed.
